What gives me meaning right now?

To contribute to greater equity and inclusion, and to take care of my community and my chosen family. How?

I've been a soprano in the fabulous queer choir Sing Out Brussels! since 2019. As a participatory choir, we work with perseverance and joy within our organization (80 members). I sing and create choreography, make videos, and actively participate in the inclusive 'Safe(r) space' that is fundamental to our organization. It's an essential part of my life. This space has allowed me to flourish on many levels.

I identify as a non-binary person. My pronouns are they/she. I feel involved in the issues of the LGBTQIA+ community and aware of the challenges it faces.

I'm an aunt to Anna (6 years old), godfather to Zelda (2 years old), an emergency foster parent for babies since 2025, and childfree. (And yes, it's possible to have all of these roles!) I believe it takes a village to raise children, and although our society tends to individualize families, I contribute as much as I can to support parents and maintain a secure and genuine connection with the children I'm around.
